Life Care Planning
We provide a comprehensive, standards-guided report developed through assessment, record review and analysis, structured evaluation of available information, research, and professional collaboration, outlining current and future medical, vocational, and ancillary care needs with associated cost projections for the evaluee. Life Care Plans are commonly utilized in cases involving catastrophic injury or chronic health care needs, including amputations, burns, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and chronic pain.
Comprehensive Case Reviews
Comprehensive case reviews summarize past and current medical information through organized review of medical records, treatment history, and documented care patterns. These reviews clarify medical and functional information, identify documented care needs, and present an organized chronology of care relevant to ongoing evaluation and decision-making.
Past Medical Charge Reviews
Past medical charge reviews analyze billing records in relation to available case information to identify patterns of overbilling, duplicate charges, or services not supported by the documented course of care. These reviews are performed in alignment with published standards to clarify billing discrepancies and present an organized evaluation of past medical charges reflected within the case record.
Life Care Plan Reviews
Life Care Plan reviews evaluate existing Life Care Plans for documentation consistency, methodological structure, and alignment with published standards of practice. These reviews identify areas of support, limitation, or variance based on the information and assumptions documented within the plan. When requested, written analyses or rebuttal reports are prepared to document observations.
Home Modification Assessments
We assess the evaluee’s current or active living environment(s) for accessibility, safety, and functional considerations. Observations may include environmental features, adaptive equipment considerations, or modification options. When modifications are identified, pricing or quotations are obtained through third-party vendors or contractors where applicable, with documentation including professional evaluation and cost-supported analysis.
Complex Medical Claim Consulting
Complex medical claim consulting provides professional medical consulting services within medical-legal contexts involving complex or long-standing medical claims. This service supports understanding of medical and functional considerations reflected within the claim file through organized review of provided case information.
Attendant Care Assessments
Attendant care assessments evaluate the level, frequency, and type of personal care required by evaluees in relation to documented medical and functional needs and current activities of daily living. These assessments identify personal care needs, support requirements, and potentially beneficial adaptive aids or environmental considerations to support functional independence within current and anticipated care planning.
Medical Cost Projections
Medical cost projections estimate reasonable and likely future medical needs and associated costs. These reports are commonly used early in case and file development to support evaluation of anticipated medical exposure and broader financial considerations. Projections consider the individual’s medical history, injury-related treatment, pre-existing/co-morbid conditions, and life expectancy to present an organized and objective projection of future medical costs. A medical cost projection is a focused planning tool and does not replace a Life Care Plan.
Risk Management Consulting
Risk management consulting services support evaluation of medical information, care utilization patterns, and cost drivers relevant to risk exposure within medical-legal and healthcare-related contexts. These services assist organizations and decision-makers in understanding medical risk considerations, utilization trends, and cost impacts to inform planning, oversight, and risk management decisions.
Life Care Plans are recommended alongside or in place of other services for trial or litigation matters, as they provide a more comprehensive evaluation of current and future care needs.
