Billing Policy

Concierge Medical & Risk Consultants (“CMRC,” “we,” “our,” “us”) provides professional consulting services including Life Care Planning, Medical Cost Projections, Medicare Set Asides, Case Reviews, and related Consulting services.

 

Our work is engagement-based.  Once CMRC is formally engaged to provide services, we bill accordingly for time, expertise, deliverables and all applicable services in accordance with our Engagement Letter.  Because services are performed upon engagement, all fees, once billed, are non-refundable and due upon receipt.

 

Billing Policy:

Concierge Medical & Risk Consultant's fee is $225/hour for professional services rendered including, for example, consultation, case material review, travel, site inspection, research, and report writing; and $275/hour plus expenses for testifying at depositions and at trial.  There is a 3 hour minimum charge for testimony time and testimony canceled with less than a 72 hour notice.

 

Concierge Medical & Risk Consultants cannot predict or guarantee total fees. Billing will depend on the amount of time spent on the case and other expenses.  A rush fee of $275/hour will apply to work on the file when it must be completed within less than 6 weeks, the start of work is based on receipt of records and signed engagement letter.  Digital records are preferred; a $1000 handling and secure disposal fee will apply to paper records of more than 100 pages per case.  A life care plan and or consulting services of this nature may take 60-120 hours; we will attempt to notify you immediately of any anticipated changes in this estimate, however payment of fees are not contingent upon this notice.

 

There may be additional miscellaneous charges such as postage, copying, and fax, which will be billed to you as accrued.  Any air travel, ground transportation and lodging costs may be payable in advance or prepaid directly by the retaining party.  Meals and incidental expenses will be billed at cost.  Your party is responsible for any charges incurred as a result of cancellation of reservations made at your request. 

 

Late Policy:

As previously mentioned, you will be billed monthly or periodically as work progresses.  All invoices are due immediately upon receipt.  Accounts not paid within 30 days from the invoice date may be considered delinquent outstanding balances.  Delinquent outstanding balances are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per 30 days (18% annually) or up to the maximum rate permitted by applicable law.  An additional administrative fee of $35 may be assessed for each month the account remains delinquent.

 

Cancellation Policy:

Depositions, hearings, and/or trials not canceled with a minimum of 72 hours notice are subject to a cancellation fee of three working hours (barring exceptional circumstances).  Responsibility for payment is that of the party engaging Concierge Medical & Risk Consultants’ services, and not contingent upon the party’s contractual agreement(s) with third parties or case status. The retaining party is responsible for payment of all fees.

 

​Payment Terms & Conditions:

Concierge Medical & Risk Consultants, without liability, may withhold delivery of work product and suspend performance of our obligation to a client pending full payment of all charges.  Failure to include a billable item in an invoice will not constitute a waiver of the right to add the charge to a subsequent billing.  We reserve the right to terminate this agreement in the event of nonpayment of our fees and expenses, or other causes.  All outstanding fees shall be paid at termination.

 

Responsibility for notification to Concierge Medical & Risk Consultants of settlement is that of the retaining party.  All charges incurred to the time of notification will be billed.  Lack of notification will not obviate charges even when disbursements related to this matter have been made.

This billing policy applies to all clients and all services.  By engaging CMRC, you acknowledge and agree that no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
